Two more people have been arrested related to a theft at London's Heathrow Airport where over twenty individuals were injured by a substance believed to be pepper spray, according to police.
A man, 24, was taken into custody in the Lambeth area for suspected theft and assault and a woman, 23 was detained for suspected conspiring to commit a robbery. Both individuals are still being held, authorities confirmed.
The arrests follow a probe into an assault at the multi-storey car park at Terminal 3 on Sunday. Before the incident, a pair of female travelers had stolen from them their suitcases after getting out of a parking garage elevator.
A toddler aged three was one of the injured during the incident. A total of five individuals went to hospital for treatment and have since been released.
Police detained a 31-year-old man for suspected robbery and assault near the scene. He has since been released pending further inquiries while inquiries continue.
Police were alerted at about 08:10 GMT after reports came in regarding several individuals hurt by a noxious substance thought to be pepper spray.
The assault - which authorities stated was a standalone incident and not being treated as an act of terror - resulted in delays to rail services and the partial closure of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the T3 car park for a short time.
